In this workshop, we will make a 7”-8” Damascus Chef's Knife using a variety of techniques. Starting with a billet made from 1080 & 15N20, you will learn about processes used in first creating a forge welded billet, and then using that steel to make a Damascus, or pattern-welded blade. Design & layout, heat treating, grinding, Handle selection, profiling, edge geometry, and more will be covered in this intensive three-day workshop. Each participant will walk away with a Damascus knife that will be ready to go to work for you!
